Position Title: MEAL OFFICER

Bir Dünya Çocuk (Children of One World) a non-governmental, non-profit organization, which has a multinational and multicultural structure, is dedicated to providing child protection services and advocating for child rights.

About the role:
Improving current and future management of outputs, outcomes and impact and assessing the performance of projects and programs set up by the organization. It establishes links between the past, present and future, actions and impact.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Prepare a detailed M&E work program (including outputs) and budget for the projects; ensure that the M&E program continues uninterrupted
2.Ensure data received from the field is correct, usable for integration into the central database, and reporting.
3.Design of information collection tools and research methodologies and translating these tools and methodologies.
4.Support the collection and management of data sets, verify and update collected data.
5.Monitor the accuracy of collected data and the proper link between field data and database.
6.Administer the information collected through the feedback and complaints mechanism.
7.Working with the Meal teams inside Syria and Turkey to brief them on upcoming activities, methodologies, and research tools for Meal activities.
8.Coordinate with other departments to ensure all potential data collection needs are addressed.
9.Assist project team in preparation of internal and external project reports;
10.Undertake secondary data collection and literature review to support project monitoring and management processes.
11.Perform any other duties as required by the Head of Programs Department.
12.Managing daily tasks and follow up with field MEAL assistants
13.Performing periodical satisfaction surveys, need assessments, monitoring and evaluation reports
14.Contributing to reinforce PSEA policies, procedures and relevant complaining and reporting mechanisms.
POWERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Support coordination of needs assessments in coordination other external sector agencies, ensuring assessment findings are documented and include an analysis of children’s needs.
2.Working with senior technical colleagues, support sector specialists in their development of sector log frames, plans, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks and plans. Contribute to development of program plan/strategy and master budget.
3.Support in the development of M&E systems (inc. output trackers) and their roll out to field staff. Support more senior technical staff to develop and rollout systems.
4.With support from senior technical colleagues, support fundraising, including contributing to proposal writing and review to ensure MEAL activities and costs are adequately covered.
5.Support planning, implementation and follow-up of evaluations, for instance writing TORs, preparing literature review packs, recruiting evaluators, planning evaluator itineraries, planning staff workshops, leading report review. Participate in evaluations where required.
6.Set up simple systems to manage information generated by MEAL activities, such as complaints databases.
7.Conduct simple data analysis and present and disseminate information to inform programme management. Seek solutions for more complex data management requirements by working with IT colleagues.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1.Bachelor degree in economics, management, development, social sciences or related disciplines.
2.1-3 years experience in the same field
3. Ability to work in a team.
4.Experience in establishing or strengthening monitoring and evaluation capacity.
5.Excellent working knowledge of computer skills including word, excel, email/internet
6.Excellent working knowledge of Power BI, Kobo, and other presentation and data analysis applications
7.Excellent communication skills, speaking and writing in Arabic essential and advanced English level is required
8.Ability to work with different stakeholders to achieve a unified vision.
9.Willingness to travel within country
10.Strong capacity to work under-pressure
11.Strong facilitation skills
