About Bahar:
Bahar Organization is an independent non-profit and non-governmental organization that provides humanitarian aids to vulnerable people without any discrimination in all its forms. BO is operating to response for the needs and basic requirement of the humanitarian crisis in Syria in the middle of the affected communities caused by the conflict the basic principles of BO’s activities are to enhance the basic living standards to the affected population by delivering the humanitarian aid based on the needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure that procurement is carried out in accordance with Bahar and donor-specific policies and procedures.
· Generate all required procurement documentation and maintain records and files in an impeccable manner
· Prepare payment requests and collect all needed documents to facilitate payment submission
· Coordinate with the Finance Department to make sure the payments are delivered to the suppliers.
· Assist program staff with raising purchase requests (PRs) and provide price estimations of goods requested when possible.
· Conducting a regular market surveys for commonly purchased goods and services.
· Assist in updating the Purchase Request Tracking Sheet (PRTS) and other procurement Tracking Sheets regularly.
· Keep good track of suppliers performance and maintain a database of good and reliable suppliers for different categories of supplies, service, and goods
· Maintain an accurate and organized filing system for both hard and soft copies.
· Perform other duties as required by the Senior Supply Chain Officer and the Supply Chain Manager
· Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
· Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
· Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.
· Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
· Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
· Prepare a monthly report of the existing stock in the warehouse and following up with stock cards for the items to declare the movement of each item.
Academic Qualification/s and Professional Experience:
· Holding a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant certificate.
· At least 3 years’ experience in Logistics with the humanitarian organizations or civil societies.
Required Skills and Capabilities:
· Excellent commands on computer skills, especially MS office suite.
· Fluent in the English language reading, speak and write.
· Spirit teamwork.
· Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
· Proficient in standard logistics software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
